Yesterday we were invited by a man named Dumel to Entreveaux to help make olive oil. And by help I mean stand around with everyone else, eating pate, grilled bread with garlic dipped in fresh olive oil, drinking beer and wine and watching the Belgian man do all the work.

Where do you live? And can I live there too please!? I miss you in my life. But I am glad to see your life is filled of sweet things like watching someone make olive oil! Xoxo.
is that alfred?? ;)
I wish that was Alfred. But alas no, it is Dumel.
Can/did you eat what was left of the olives after the oil was pressed out? What kind of olives were they? What did it smell like? Why were there people hanging around watching?
Yes. What is left of the olive oil is called tapenade. They were normal olives. Meaning I don t know. It smells like fire. They light a fire and keep the room at about 90 degrees in order to extract more oil. And the people were there to ``help`` like when we kill the pigs. Meaning eat the fresh olive oil and drink wine!
